The Military Prosecutor's Office has been investigating the activities of the management of the Ukrspetsexport State Corporation since 2005 under Part 5 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (embezzlement, misappropriation of property, or seizure of property through abuse of office).
"The bulk of the investigative work by military prosecutors in Ukraine is almost complete," Ukraine's Chief Military Prosecutor, Anatoly Matios, said at a press conference in Kyiv on Tuesday.
In addition, investigators received permission to conduct investigative actions abroad.
"We managed to obtain permission through negotiations with Kazakhstan, Lithuania, and Slovakia for their representatives to conduct investigative actions, interrogations, and document seizures with our participation," said A. Matios.
"After this, the public will learn who sold the ammunition, multiple launch rocket systems, artillery emplacement detection systems, and so on, and who signed the documents that rendered our Armed Forces incapacitated," the military prosecutor emphasized.
