VS Energy Giner, Babakov, Voevodin, SBU search

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) is searching VS Energy of Giner, Voevodin, and Babakov.

The SBU conducted searches at the energy company VS Energy, which owns several regional power companies and is owned by Russian oligarchs Giner, Voevodin, and Babakov, writes EP.

A source in the Security Service of Ukraine informed EP of this.

"This is no ordinary firm, but a company that owns several regional power companies and accounts for 10% of Ukraine's energy market. It is this sector that is currently suffering the most from Russia's attacks.

The oligarchs are already under sanctions, so the SBU has every right to conduct searches there," the source said.

Recall:

Kyiv's Pechersky District Court has seized shares in strategic Ukrainian enterprises and securities whose ultimate owners include Russian State Duma deputy Alexander Babakov, member of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Yevgeny Giner, and so-called "thief in law" nicknamed Misha "Luzhnetsky" Mikhail Voevodin.

Specifically, shares in the authorized capital of five companies have been frozen: JSC Zhytomyroblenergo (95,54%), JSC Khersonoblenergo (99,99%), PJSC Kirovogradoblenergo (72,9%), JSC Chernivtsyoblenergo (96,78%), and JSC Rivneoblenergo (93,24%). These shares are owned in varying proportions by VS Group Management LLC and the Dutch companies VS Energy International N.V. and Washington Holdings B.V., which form the VS Energy group.

By decision of the National Security and Defense Council, Babakov, Giner, and Voevodin were included in the list of individuals to whom personal economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions) have been applied.
