A cook was promised just 1 hryvnias for registering a company used to siphon funds from an armored vehicle factory.

A report by Slidstva Info reveals that money for non-existent armored personnel carrier (APC) hulls intended for National Guard soldiers was siphoned off through a company owned by a half-blind cook, Yulia Ponomar. She is the founder and director of the Odessa-based company Spets-Kom-Yug. In June of this year, the Kyiv Armored Plant transferred approximately 30 million hryvnias for inflated goods and services to three commercial firms: Inter Stal LTD and Invest-Auto 207 (17 million hryvnias), Engineering Center I.B.Tek (930,000 hryvnias), and Spets-Kom-Yug LLC (12 million hryvnias). Yulia Ponomar was promised only 1,000 hryvnias for founding Spets-Kom-Yug LLC and signing the APC supply contract.

Recall The military prosecutor's office took over the investigation of this case, which involved relatives of Alexander Dubovoy, but at the end of August, Prosecutor General Vitaly Yarema transferred control of the investigation. "We've encountered problems conducting so-called military-technical and military-tactical examinations. And, unfortunately, we have very few experts who can investigate these issues. That's why the investigation deadline for this case has been extended," Yarema said, responding to journalists' questions.
