The public organization "Anticorruption Movement of the South," led by Volodymyr Bukach, a deputy of the Ovidiopol District Council in the Odessa region, has uncovered corruption ties between Vyacheslav Shandrik, Director of the branch of the state enterprise "Ukrgosstroyexpertiza" in the Odessa region.
Public activists have learned that Vyacheslav Shandrik, on behalf of the state expert review, held tenders and transferred budget funds to LLC “REAL ESTATE INVESTMENTS”; LLC “CONSTRUCTION COMPANY “YUG INVESTSTROY”; LLC “DORSTROYTRANS”; LLC “ALUMA ODESSA”; TDV “NIKOLAEVSKY DIPROMOST”; LLC “INTER-INVESTSTROY”; ALL-UKRAINIAN PUBLIC ORGANIZATION “SOURCE OF FINANCES”, while being one of their founders.
In connection with this, a corresponding application for an investigation was sent to law enforcement agencies.
Through unknown means, the statement was posted online, which led to Shandrik filing a lawsuit to protect his allegedly violated dignity and honor, as well as compensation for moral damages in the amount of 60,000 hryvnia.
Moreover, there is no evidence in the case materials that the public organization posted this statement in the media, nor is there any justification for such considerable moral damage.
The case was heard by Judge E.S. Kozyrsky of the Ovidiopol District Court of the Odessa Region, who, in turn, did not even attempt to determine who had posted the articles about Vyacheslav Shandrik. Furthermore, the court did not determine whether the information corresponded to the actual facts.
