Subsidy payments during wartime: The Ministry of Social Policy explained what to expect.

During martial law, Ukrainians will have their subsidies automatically extended.

The head of the department, Marina Lazebna, stated that until the end of the war, the Ministry of Social Policy will automatically continue to pay all benefits, including social assistance and subsidies. Citizens do not need to contact government agencies for this, writes ZN.UA.

"We automatically extended funding for all previously assigned social benefits, subsidies, and housing and utility subsidies during the martial law, without any request, and simplified the process for new recipients," Lazebna said.

According to her, about 6 million people in Ukraine receive social assistance, and another 11 million receive pensions.

The minister added that it was possible to finance all payments even in those regions that were under Russian occupation.

As a reminder, utility rates for residents will remain at the level of February 24, 2022. The Cabinet of Ministers approved Resolution No. 502, "Certain issues of regulation of activities in the field of utilities in connection with the introduction of martial law in Ukraine," dated April 29, 2022.
