The Kherson shipyard has been closed.

The Kherson Shipyard, one of Ukraine's largest shipbuilding enterprises, founded in 1951, has closed its doors. For those who don't understand the scale of this tragedy, let us explain: the shipyard was the city's primary budget-generating enterprise, with all the far-reaching consequences that entails.

The Kherson Regional Commercial Court has initiated bankruptcy proceedings against Kherson Shipyard (KSZ) based on a claim filed by Balaklava Gorky Mining Administration (Sevastopol).
Both companies are controlled by Smart Holding, whose primary beneficiary is billionaire oligarch Vadim Novinsky.
The court imposed a moratorium on satisfying creditors' claims, appointed Natalia Teterich as the administrator of her property, and instructed her to compile a register of creditors by September 23 and to conduct an inventory of the debtor's assets and determine their value by November 4. A preliminary court hearing in the case is scheduled for October 15.
