Arseniy Yatsenyuk has been blocking the appointment of a board member of the National Joint Stock Company Naftogaz of Ukraine for five months now. Andrey PasishnikMP Serhiy Leshchenko reported this on Facebook. He believes Yatsenyuk is lobbying for the interests of oligarch Ihor Kolomoisky.
Leshchenko wrote that on August 10, 2015, Volodymyr Demchyshyn, head of the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry, submitted Pasishnyk's appointment as a member of the board of the Naftogaz of Ukraine to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. As the MP noted, despite Pasishnyk's appointment not being considered for four months, Yatsenyuk returned the documents to the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry. The reason given for the return of the documents was that Demchyshyn's department had ceased to manage Naftogaz as of December 5, 2015, and therefore had no right to nominate board members.
As Leshchenko noted, Mr. Pasishnyk is Ihor Kolomoisky's archenemy. He has disrupted many of the PrivatBank owner's shady enrichment schemes. This is precisely why, according to Leshchenko, Yatsenyuk manipulated documents to prevent Pasishnyk from being appointed to the board of directors of Naftogaz Ukrainy.
We previously reported that Kolomoisky allegedly reached an agreement with Yatsenyuk and Poroshenko on certain issues regarding the appointment of top managers of state-owned companies. However, Yatsenyuk himself denies this information..
