savings bankBy mid-2018, at least 20% of the shares of state-owned Oschadbank and Ukreximbank will be sold.

According to Finance Minister Natalia Yaresko, this will be done as part of the government's strategy, which classifies these banks as systemically important. Yaresko also stated that a retail target client segment has been defined for Oschadbank, and for Ukreximbank, the financing of export-import operations. Supervisory boards made up of private financial sector participants will also be formed for these banks. Their task will be to ensure interaction between the government and the banks.

It should be noted that Deputy Finance Minister Artem Shevalev previously announced the Ministry of Finance's intention to sell at least 25% of shares in state-owned banks.
