At the request of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine, the foreign accounts of brothers Andriy and Serhiy Klyuyev, former NBU Governor Serhiy Arbuzov, MP Yuriy Ivanyushchenko, and former Prime Minister Mykola Azarov's son, Oleksiy, have been frozen. This was announced by Prosecutor General of Ukraine Vitaliy Yarema at a briefing in Kyiv, according to an RBC-Ukraine correspondent.

"In order to recover state funds and other assets stolen by Yanukovych and his entourage, the Prosecutor General's Office has recently sent approximately 20 requests in criminal proceedings to competent authorities in the Republic of Austria, the Swiss Confederation, the United Kingdom of Great Britain, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Cyprus, the Republic of Latvia, the Principality of Liechtenstein, and the Kingdom of Spain, and has provided letters to all member states of the European Union," Yarema stated.

According to him, the accounts and assets of former Presidential Administration Head Andriy Klyuyev have already been frozen, including 13 million Swiss francs in Swiss banks and a 558 square meter house in Austria. His brother, MP Serhiy Klyuyev, has had 13 million Swiss francs frozen. Oleksiy Azarov has had €6,7 million and €5 million in assets frozen in Austria. Serhiy Arbuzov has had $49 million in Latvian banks frozen. Yuriy Ivanyushchenko has had 72 million Swiss francs frozen.

As a reminder, Ukraine's Prosecutor General, Vitaliy Yarema, sent two of his deputies to the Interpol office in France to investigate why the former Ukrainian leadership has not yet been placed on the international wanted list.
