Andrey Lopushansky
On his Facebook page, Andriy Kobolev, Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine ( read more about him in the article " Andriy Kobolev: An Inconspicuous "Veteran" of the Gas Pipeline "), announced that Andriy Lopushansky, a member of parliament from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc, had filed a lawsuit in Kyiv's Pechersky District Court seeking reinstatement as First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine. Kobolev also posted a photo of his court summons. The hearing in this case is scheduled for February 24.
In the last elections, Lopushansky ran as an independent candidate in the 125th constituency, centered in Staryi Sambir (Lviv region).
Since 2005, when Yulia Tymoshenko was Prime Minister of Ukraine, Andriy Lopushanskyy served as First Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Naftogaz of Ukraine National Joint-Stock Company. In April 2006, Prime Minister Yuriy Yekhanurov dismissed Lopushanskyy, but in January 2009, Tymoshenko reinstated him, effective October 8, 2007.
In June 2014, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk fired Lopushansky from Naftogaz "for failing to show up for work for more than four months in a row." Lopushansky had been on maternity leave since 2010.
According to media reports, Lopushansky is the godfather of the former head of Naftogaz Ukrainy, the controversial Oleksiy Ivchenko, with whom he shares a business.
During the 2012 parliamentary campaign, Andriy Lopushansky was accused of indirectly bribing the electorate.
