On Friday, December 19 at 12:00 at the Center for Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery, located at 24 Melnikova Street, Kyiv, an emergency briefing will be held by Mykhailo Labutin, General Director of the State Enterprise Ukrspirt.
Just before a complex operation, Mikhail Yuryevich is ready to explain, without clarification, why the strategic alcohol industry, which in 2014 earned UAH 90 million in net profit and, for the first time since 2010, demonstrated a more than fivefold increase in all financial and economic indicators, is being rushed to liquidate and privatize.
Since July 2014, the state-owned enterprise "Ukrspirt" has been living under the constant threat of destruction. Ukrspirt's current management refused to play by the rules of the old corrupt officials and declared war on them and all production and distribution of "black spirit" in Ukraine.
As is well known, numerous criminal proceedings have been initiated against the former management of Ukrspirt, which funded the Yanukovych family's slush fund. A court ruling alleges that these individuals embezzled 3 billion 200 million hryvnias in 2013 alone. However, the investigation into these abuses has yet to progress. However, after the new management took office and dismantled the corrupt schemes, the state budget has increased significantly.
According to the results of the State Enterprise "Ukrspirt" in the II and III quarters of the current year, the net profit received was UAH 88 million 900 thousand (II and III quarters of 2013 - UAH 15 million 800 thousand profit). The growth of the net profit of the State Enterprise "Ukrspirt" allowed to increase budget revenues, namely, the estimated amount of deductions to the budget of a part of the state enterprise's profit, accrued at a certain rate on net profit, in the II and III quarters of 2014, amounted to UAH 27 million 700 thousand, against UAH 2 million 400 thousand for the same period of 2013, that is, it increased more than 11 times. The total amount of transfers to the budget for the II and III quarters of 2014 amounted to UAH 119 million 500 thousand, which is 48,8% or UAH 39,3 million. exceeds the figures for the second and third quarters of 2013.
Thus, the person "in charge" of the schemes lost enormous sums of money. Consequently, unprecedented pressure from various sides began to be exerted on the current director of the state-owned enterprise Ukrspirt. Under the pressure of unfounded suspicions and aggressive informational and administrative attacks, the health of the general director of the state-owned enterprise, M.Yu. Labutin, weakened and he was hospitalized. Due to numerous threats and arbitrary actions by the State Fiscal Service, members of the Ukrspirt trade union appealed to the 24th Separate Assault Battalion "Aidar" of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, K-2, and the Right Sector, which are currently guarding the hospital, to protect their director.
