Akhmetov's Zakhidenergo suffered a loss of UAH 2,43 billion in 2015.

According to the results of 2015, Rinat Akhmetov's energy company, PJSC DTEK Zakhidenergo, increased its net loss by 30,2 times (compared to 2014), totaling UAH 2,43 billion. This was reported by the energy company's press service in announcing the next shareholders' meeting.

Compared to 2014, DTEK Zakhidenergo's assets reportedly increased by 4,6% last year, reaching UAH 8,42 billion. Zakhidenergo's fixed assets increased by 18%, reaching UAH 5,03 billion. The company's total accounts receivable increased by 16,3% last year, reaching UAH 2,2 billion. The energy company's long-term liabilities increased by 33%, reaching UAH 1,77 billion, while DTEK Zakhidenergo's current liabilities increased by 23,7%, reaching UAH 5,32 billion.

It is also reported that Akhmetov's energy company laid off several hundred people in 2015. At the end of 2014, their number stood at 6,05. By the end of 2015, the number of employees had fallen to 5,77.

It is known that in 2014, DTEK Zakhidenergo incurred a net loss of UAH 80,59 million. In 2013, the energy company posted a profit of UAH 578,38 million.

DTEK Zakhidenergo is the operating organization, with a combined capacity of 23 power units with a total capacity of 4628,5 MW. Akhmetov's company includes the Ladyzhynska Thermal Power Plant, the Burshtynska Thermal Power Plant, and the Dobrotvirska Thermal Power Plant. Rinat Akhmetov's DTEK Holding owns 72,2% of Zakhidenergo's shares. The remaining 25% is owned by the state.
