The prosecutor's office is demanding 8,85 million hryvnias from Nordik-Bud LLC, owned by the Kozytsky family , for the renovation of the building currently occupied by Zenyk Art Gallery (ZAG). The building in question is located at 7 Shota Rustaveli Street in Lviv.
This is stated in the ruling of the Commercial Court of Lviv Oblast dated July 31.
The case materials indicate that Nordik-Bud LLC renovated the building with an extension and converted it into a commercial and business center. The prosecutor's office claims the company failed to pay its contribution for the development of urban infrastructure in full and on time.
According to the prosecutor's office's calculations, the principal debt amounts to UAH 6,05 million. In addition, the company is required to pay UAH 2,14 million in inflation losses and UAH 651,3 (3% per annum). The total debt amounts to UAH 8,85 million.
The lawsuit was filed by the Frankivsk District Prosecutor's Office of Lviv on behalf of the City Council's Department of Economic Development. The Lviv City Council was brought in as a third party, as if the lawsuit is upheld, the funds would go to the city budget.
The court has only just opened proceedings and scheduled a preparatory hearing for August 7. Whether Nordic-Bud actually owes the city the stated amount will be determined during the trial.

Judge Roman Krupnyk is hearing the case. In his ruling, he stated that his brother's wife works in the Lviv City Council's legal department. She is one of the employees who can represent the city council in court. However, there is no information that she will represent the city council in this particular case, so the judge saw no grounds for her to recuse herself.
Zenyk Art Gallery opened in a renovated building at 7 Shota Rustaveli Street. The building also houses the offices of the Zapadnadraservis group of companies, owned by Zinovy Kozitsky and his family.
