Journalist: Yuriy Vitrenko resigns as head of Naftogaz
Yuriy Vitrenko is stepping down as head of Naftogaz. It is already known that the current Minister of Communities and Territories will take over the company. Alexei Chernyshev. He writes about this in his Telegram channel “White spot" journalist Yuri Doshchatov reports KP.
"Chernyshev's candidacy has already been approved by the Presidential Administration. The Rada plans to dismiss the minister for his appointment to the National Antimonopoly Committee in the third ten-day period of September," Doshchatov wrote.
According to him, Chernyshov will be appointed head of Naftogaz by a decision of the Cabinet of Ministers on a permanent basis (not acting).
"That is, everything will happen without the participation of the Supervisory Board (which has still not been appointed, although it has been selected). Given the current corporate governance regulations, the appointment of the head of the NAC should be made by the Supervisory Board. Until it is appointed, the Cabinet of Ministers will perform the functions of the Supervisory Board," the journalist emphasized.
He also announced that Yuriy Vitrenko plans to hold a briefing on Tuesday, September 13. The exact topic is not yet known.
Yuriy Vitrenko joined Naftogaz in 2002. He participated in the Naftogaz Ukrainy strategy development project and the project to create a vertically integrated oil company as an assistant to the deputy chairman of the board. Since then, he has held various positions within the company.
