Activists protested the controversial construction of housing for the SBU. A video has been published.

A row has erupted in Kyiv's Holosiivskyi district between activists and a developer building a high-rise building for SBU officers, according to Radio Liberty's "Schemes" program.

According to journalists, the land on which the entire high-rise residential district is being built has a strategic military designation, so residential development is prohibited there. Construction is taking place at 9 Potekhina Street, near Goloseevsky Park.

The program's journalists published a video report about the ongoing construction project, which revealed that the developer had illegally obtained a permit to build the high-rise buildings in 2014, using tender violations, with the SBU acting as the contractor. However, for some reason, the security agency chose the developer who promised to award a smaller number of apartments to its employees.

In turn, the SBU reported that this construction is being carried out entirely on a legal basis.

We previously wrote about employees SBU officers who own luxury cars, the cost of which is much higher than the official salaries of law enforcement officers.
