Alexey Koronsky: New Suspect in ARMA Case
The National Bureau has placed one of the defendants in the case of fraud involving seized property on the wanted list. He has also been summoned for questioning.
As a reminder, NABU and SAP notified the former head of ARMA of suspicion. To Anton Yanchuk and others involved in fraudulent schemes involving seized property. According to the NABU, the seized property was transferred to ARMA under the pretext of complying with court orders. ARMA officials, in turn, prepared a justification claiming that such assets were difficult to manage and store, or were perishable and likely to lose their value. The property was then appraised by a company participating in the scheme at significantly reduced prices. The property was then put up for auction at an online auction organized by SE SETAM. Representatives of the state-owned enterprise, participants in the conspiracy, then orchestrated the auction to ensure the victory of a predetermined private company.
NABU and SAP obtained evidence of at least four episodes of such illegal activity in 2019. Specifically:
- the sale of three plots of land in the Odessa region, acquired at one time for the construction of shopping centers of the Auchan chain, was sold at 18 times less than the market value;
- sale of 2,6 thousand tons of medium and fine river sand in the Kyiv region, understating the price by more than 6 times compared to the market price;
- sale of more than 4,5 thousand tons of urea - almost 5 times cheaper than market prices;
- The sale of grain, cereals and oilseeds is four times cheaper than the market price.
The sale of the seized property at undervalued prices in these four cases alone resulted in damages of over 426 million hryvnias. To prevent further prosecution, the NABU and SAP initiated the seizure of the land plots in question and the money paid for the river sand. The investigation into this case was recently completed. extended until January 23.
