The Bureau of Economic Security (BES) has exposed the mining and processing plants of an oligarch for evading 10 billion hryvnias in taxes. According to a BES source, the mining and processing plant in question is Constantine ZhevagoThis is stated in the statement of the BEB, writes Urrudprom.
The Bureau emphasizes that it is conducting investigative actions and searches in the administrative and office buildings of two mining and processing plants that carry out primary processing of minerals.
«These Zhevago mining and processing plants and a dozen other companies belong to a group of related business entities. Their sole ultimate beneficial owner is one of Ukraine's wealthiest oligarchs, who is actually based in the Principality of Monaco.“o,” the BEB statement said.
«Searches are being conducted to gather evidence. In addition, inspections of mineral deposits and mineral processing facilities at mining and processing plants are being conducted with the assistance of a specialist and a chemical expert.
Samples of "poor ore" and concentrate were selected for comprehensive examinations.", the BEB added.
The agency notes that officials of one of these enterprises understated their tax liabilities for subsoil use royalties by almost UAH 7,6 billion between 2018 and 2021.
«The investigation established that employees of another company also deliberately understated their tax liabilities for subsoil use royalties by more than UAH 2,7 billion.
Such actions by violators resulted in the actual non-receipt of funds to the state budget of Ukraine in the amount of more than 10 billion hryvnias.“- the BEB notes.
