"The current Rada served as Yanukovych's supporter for a year and a half. Most of these deputies passed the dictatorial laws that took the lives of the Heavenly Hundred. They must be held accountable for this: both criminally and politically," he noted.

Tsegolko recalled that the Rada's effectiveness was extremely low
"How can a war be won when deputies barely scraped together 232 votes to recognize the DPR and LPR as terrorist organizations?" the press secretary wrote.
At the same time, he recalled that snap elections do not relieve the Verkhovna Rada of responsibility for the country, and that deputies must ratify the association agreement with the EU in September.
Tsegolko added that the president called on all democratic political forces to go to the elections as a single pro-European team.

Journalist Mustafa Nayem added that the president would be able to suspend the decree dissolving the Rada to ratify the association agreement.
