The court is asked to declare the Government's order, which transferred the functions of the National Intellectual Property Authority from Ukrpatent to the state organization Ukrainian National Office of Intellectual Property and Innovation, unlawful, writes South.

The Kyiv District Administrative Court has registered a lawsuit filed by the First Trade Union of Intellectual Property Workers of the State Enterprise "Ukrainian Institute of Intellectual Property" (Ukrpatent) against the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv District Administrative Court.

«The court is asked to declare the Government Order of October 28, 2022, No. 943-g. “Certain issues of the National Intellectual Property Authority” unlawful."By the contested order, as of November 8 of this year, the functions of the National Intellectual Property Authority were transferred from Ukrpatent to the state organization Ukrainian National Office of Intellectual Property and Innovation (UkrNOISI).

The court is currently deciding whether to open proceedings in the administrative case,” the statement said.
