Shariy's Party List: Who Should the SBU Investigate First?
Anatoly Shariy's pro-Russian party has been banned permanently and irrevocably. The Supreme Court announced its decision on September 7. Representatives of the CHESTNO Movement were present at the hearing. But banning the party is only the first step. It is crucial that the security services thoroughly review the lists of banned parties, and Shariy's party is no exception, writes Argument.
The HONEST movement that leads Register of traitors, has already analyzed the list of the Opposition Platform - For Life party and promulgated These are the names that the SBU should check first. As for Shariy's party, law enforcement and intelligence agencies also need to thoroughly review its candidate lists.
2019 Parliamentary Elections. Shariy's Party List
The Shariy Party's list for the parliamentary elections was purely nominal—31 people. This is despite the fact that the list could have 225 seats. The Shariy Party members were well aware that they would not get into parliament, and they used the elections to increase brand awareness and promote Anatoly Shariy's social media channels. Therefore, no one seriously worked on creating a real list.
Of course, it won't be a problem for the security services to check these three dozen citizens. Shariy and his wife, Olga Shariy (Bondarenko), are already on the CHESTNO Movement's Register of State Traitors, as is Antonina Beloglazova.

Moreover, she consistently cultivated the impression in the media that she was allegedly constantly being attacked by nationalists in Ukraine. This information was reported to the OSCE.
If you follow the information on the website shariy.net, Beloglazova very often appears in reports of alleged nationalist attacks. It can be assumed that this is one of Beloglazova's tasks. Reported Several representatives of the Shariy Party have been served with notices of suspicion due to the political project's illegal activities, according to media reports. Among those targeted by the security services is Beloglazova. She was also a reporter for the pro-Russian project Strana.ua.
It's worth noting that Yevgeny Yevtukhov was also among the top ten candidates, and this isn't his first run for the presidency. He ran for the 7th parliament as a member of the Green Party.
This wasn't the first time Shariy's lawyer, candidate Valentyn Rybin, had run for president. During the 2014 elections, he ran in a single-member constituency in the Kherson region (No. 183). As for Andriy Lyubetsky, he tried his hand at the 5th parliamentary elections and ran on the list of the Borys Oliynyk and Mykhailo Sirota Bloc. Neither Rybin nor Lyubetsky received a seat.
After the outbreak of full-scale war, Rybin immediately set course for Spain. Shariy was detained in that country. For some reason, he said, he was unable to leave for Russia.

In 2021, he was a candidate for the Shariy Party in the midterm elections in Donetsk Oblast (District No. 50), and a year ago, he ran for the Kyiv City Council from the same political project.
Shariy is far from the only person Rybin has defended. A year ago, he became the lawyer for Viktoria Daskalitsa, a treason suspect. She is implicated in a case involving the operation of a network of Telegram channels used by Russian intelligence agencies. Previously, she was a member of Shariy's Party. defended Brazilian Rafael Lusvarghi, who fought in Donbass on the side of the DPR, and the head of the "Officer Corps" organization, Vladimir Ruban, and then-member of parliament Nadezhda Savchenko, for their alleged attempt to seize state power, stage a coup, and organize a terrorist attack. Rybin also defended three Kharkiv ex-Berkut officers who fled to Russia.
In a 2017 interview with Skrypin.ua, Rybin stated that Russia had not violated the Budapest Memorandum on Ukraine.
Local elections 2020
The recent local elections were the second time the Shariy Party had established itself and fielded candidates. There were approximately 1000 of them. The first step was to vet those who were running for office repeatedly, those who had previously participated in pro-Russian projects, or had participated in elections on behalf of other parties. Citizens with political experience clearly understood what they were getting into when they joined the Shariy Party.
Anton Rovensky, a native of Luhansk Oblast, ran as an independent candidate for people's deputy in Donetsk Oblast during the by-election (constituency No. 50) in 2021. This means he was a candidate in the same constituency as Shariy's lawyer, the aforementioned Valentyn Rybin. Considering that Rovensky and Rybin ran for the same political party in the 2019-2020 elections, it can be assumed that the independent candidate, Rovensky, may have served as a technical candidate in this constituency for Shariy's lawyer.
Rivne also ran for the Kyiv City Council from Oleh Lyashko’s Radical Party (2015).
Regarding the Odesa City Council, during the 2020 elections, Marina Aksenova worked for the Southern Wave party when she left Shariy's party. Aksenova's son and daughter-in-law, Ilya Freiman (who changed his last name from Kalmykov until 2019) and Yana Freiman, respectively, won seats on the Odesa City Council and the regional council from Shariy's party. The son distinguished himself by removing the blue and yellow flags from the faction's seats.
Local media celebratedIt was reported that the Shariy Party and its list in the Odesa region were controlled by Viktor Baransky, a representative of the Opposition Platform – For Life party. This politician was invited to the studio with Aksenova on the Southern Wave.
Aksenova previously ran for the "Our Region" party (2015), and before that she worked as the head of the local state television and radio company.
Aksnova hosted a program on this channel with the telling title "Gubernia," where she reported that the Maidan protesters were engaged in "aimless downtime," while the security forces, who had sworn allegiance to the Ukrainian state, were, in her opinion, acting entirely correctly. She invited Ruslan Bodelan onto the air, who noted that the Maidan protesters didn't understand what they were standing for.
When she was fired from the channel, her colleagues openly rejoiced and wrote about the opportunity to transform the media outlet from a nest of separatism into a center of Ukrainian patriotism. Oksana Podnebesnaya, who hosted a patriotic program, was suspended from the air.

In fact, the Odesa Oblast has representatives of the Shariy Party in its councils, so both the deputies and the candidates on the list need to be vetted. For example, Oleksiy Dovgan ran for the Belyaivka City Council as a member of the Shariy Party, and before that, as a candidate for another pro-Russian project, the Opposition Bloc.
Shariy's party won seats not only in the Odesa region but also in the Kharkiv region. City Council member Davito Matveichenko, for example, spreads pro-Russian propaganda on social media, particularly about fraternal nations and "not everything is so clear-cut." He actively criticizes all government actions and justifies Russia's armed aggression. According to available information, the day before the war, the member of parliament left for Europe.
The HONESTLY movement provides link A document with a complete list of candidates from the Shariy Party for the special services and law enforcement agencies, which contains information about the preliminary ballots of these politicians.
